Savor Privacy Policy
Savor uses the minimum data needed to provide local dinner recommendations, subscriptions, and optional product analytics.
Data you provide
Your cooking profile may include dietary preferences, allergies, foods to avoid, equipment, and dinner preferences. Cooking history can include completion details and optional reflections. Distributed V1 does not offer accounts, Sign in with Apple, cross-device sync, or Recipe Import.
How Savor uses data
Profile and cooking data remain on your device and power safety filtering, recommendations, progress, groceries, and repertoire. Apple processes subscription purchases, and Savor checks the resulting entitlement to unlock subscription features.
Product analytics
Only after you explicitly opt in, Savor may send pseudonymous, first-party events such as onboarding progress, paywall interaction, recommendation use, and completed dinners. These events use a random installation identifier and never include allergy text, avoided-food text, notes, email, Apple user ID, or advertising identifiers. Savor does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Before opt-in, events may queue only on your device; Savor does not register an analytics installation or upload events. Declining purges the local queue. You can later turn Product Analytics off from Profile to request deletion of uploaded analytics and rotate the random identifier.
Storage and deletion
App data is stored on your device. If you opt in, pseudonymous product analytics are stored in Savor’s Cloudflare-hosted service for no more than 90 days. Use the in-app controls to delete uploaded analytics and reset the identifier sooner.
To protect public services from abuse, short-lived rate-limit records use a keyed pseudonym of the requesting network address rather than the address itself. These records are deleted after 48 hours.
Sharing
Savor uses Apple for subscriptions and app distribution, and Cloudflare for first-party analytics and recommendation-policy delivery. Savor does not sell personal data.
Security and changes
Savor uses encrypted transport, strict data validation, and separated staging and production services. Material policy changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
